Family Owned since 1728

In 1728, Friedrich Kuby opened a neighborhood meat market in Kaiserslautern, Germany, that specialized in fine sausages and specialty meats. After two centuries of satisfied customers, Karl Kuby, direct descendant of Opa Friedrich, immigrated to the United States, bringing with him the unique art of sausage making and specialty meat preparation. In 1961, Karl opened Kuby’s Sausage House, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Karl’s dream was to introduce Texas to the tradition and taste of the fine sausages and specialty meats that he enjoyed as a boy in Kaiserslautern.

Since 1961, Kuby’s Sausage House has evolved into a Texas institution known for its quality food products. Among the products and services provided are:

Meat Market and Delicatessen: Our market includes only the finest cuts of meat, homemade sausages, luncheon meats, gourmet cheeses, and European salads.

Grocery Store: We proudly offer the finest imported gourmet items that make any home kitchen a European culinary institution.

Bakery: Our European baked breads and pastries are made fresh daily.

Wild Game Processing:  Custom process your game meat, fish, or fowl. Kuby’s Wild Game Processing is legendary in the state of Texas.

Catering: Catering is one of Karl’s favorite parts of the business. He personally creates deli trays to appeal to both the eye and the stomach. Karl’s artistic creativity coupled with his years of culinary training make Kuby’s catering a unique treat for any occasion. From box lunches to sit down dinners, we’ll be glad to cater your event.

RestaurantWe serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday.

Our lunch menu features our most popular entree, the Wurst teller (sausage plate) with homemade sauerkraut and hot German potato salad. Other popular items include Oma’s Potato Pancakes, Schnitzel, Reuben Sandwiches and Homemade Soups that change daily.

As in the old country, only the best ingredients go into the making of Kuby’s meats, sausages, and other gourmet products. The recipes, spice formulas, meat preparation techniques, and quality-controlled workmanship have been handed down from father to son for more than 10 generations.
